Helping others never goes out of style.
Come and be part of our team, through whom God is doing a new thing in the marketplace. Our social enterprise seeks to bring together excellence in ministry and business for the sake of His Kingdom and our city.
Volunteer Opportunities
Here are some of our ongoing volunteer needs:
Merchandising Team Member – Join with others in a team-based ministry of prayer and the planning of outstanding store design and layout. Teams work in conjunction with the Store’s director and Associates to ensure that Common Threads always presents expertly and creatively for every season of the year.
Store Volunteer – Help in the back room alongside our employees to sort, price, and tag our donations or help with stocking or customer service.
Truck Driver – Commit to a time slot to pick-up donations from community partners, churches or estates.
Event Planners – Rally churches, schools and others to host fundraisers for Common Threads and Building Hope in the City’s social enterprise efforts. Support local organizations in their ingathering efforts to collect items for Common Threads.

1. Attend a 60-minute New Volunteer Orientation Session at Building Hope in the City. They are offered monthly.
